Most Famous Tourism Attractions in Ajmer

Ajmer City is situated at the centre of the Rajasthan State and surrounded by Aravalli Mountains and Taragarh Hills. Nearest cities are Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur and Delhi. Ajmer is well known for “Dargah Sharif” and pilgrimage city “Pushkar”. This article will let you know some turism attractions in Ajmer.

Dargah Sharif:

“Dargah Sharif of Muinuddin chisti” is famous tourism attraction in Ajmer where people come from all over the world. It is also called as Ajmer Sharif. Ajmer Sharif is located at the bottom of Taragarh Hill.

Pushkar:


Puskar is also one of the popular tourist places in Rajasthan, India. “Pushkar Lake” and “Temple of Lord Brahma” are the main attractions of pushakar City. In Hindu religion, there is a belief that their “char Dham”(Tour of four pilgrimage places Badrinath, Rameswaran, Puri and Dwarka) wouldn’t complete until they take bath in Holy Pushkar Lake.  You will also see beautiful Pushkar Ghati when you travel from Ajmer City. Pushkar is almost 10 km away from the main city Ajmer by road.

Taragarh Fort:

Taragarh Fort is one of the oldest hill forts of India which is guarding and one of the visiting places in Ajmer city. It was built by King Ajaypal Chauhan to watch over the city. The fort is surrounded by the stone wall which is almost of 3 km circumference.

Anasagar Lake:

Anasagar Lake is the historical man mad lake built by Maharaja Anaji. Daulat Baug garden is almost near to lake. After addition of five pavilions by Emperor Jahangir, it is called as Baradari.

Lake Foy Sagar:

Lake foy Sagar is situated at frontier of the city. it is the artificial lake created during the late 19th century. it is also one of the famous attractions in Rajasthan because you can see panoramic view of arravali mountains and evening fly of the birds.

Nareli Tirth:

Nareli Tirth is Jain temple located outside the city which is also attract people to visit. You can get amazing and beautiful view from the mountain where temple is located. This Naroli Tirth in Ajmer is beautiful marble jain temple.

Mayo college:


Mayo College is famous royal college of the state which is built during the British Raj. It is famous for its royal education and royal architecture of the buildings of college. This college has best housing and sports facility for students.

Something about Nasirabad City in Rajasthan, India

Nasirabad is a cantonment city in Ajmer Districts, Rajasthan. This city is well known for its army population. Thousands of soldiers and officers are posted here every year. It is also Rajputana station in Ajmer. The population of city is around 50,000 and literacy rate is almost 75 per cent.

History of Nasirabad:


This name is based on a famous English officer Sir David Ochterlony who was honored with the name "NASIR-UD-DAULA" it means the "Defender of the State" by Mughal Badshah Shah Alam II. Nasirabad is an important place for Indian army. It is also safest place in whole Rajasthan because of the camp of Indian army surrounded in all over the city. It is also well known for 1857 revolt where Nasirabad represent Rajasthan in this revolution.

Overview of the City:


City is enclosed with three big cities like Ajmer, Beawer and Kishangarh. There is also India’s largest gas plant placed in Dilwara, Nasirabad. This gas plant has made so many job opportunities in this area for local public. It means that this city also play a significant role in Indian transportation system because it is providing large number of petroleum products. You can still find Tanga(horse carts) here and enjoy riding on it.

Local Markets:

Sadar Bazar is the main market in the city.  Masala mandi and Anaj mandi are food markets for local farmers to selling their food products.

Kachora is the most famous snack of nasirabad and best eatable thing at here. This is a round shaped fried chapatti with large size. Its weight is almost 1kg. Its taste is as same as kachori but large in size. People are specially come from different places to eat Kachora. It is made from Lentil and Potato. Chawanni Lal Halwai is the famous Kachora shop in city.

Transoprtation in Nasirabad:

Nasirabad is also connected with Indian Railway and nearest airport is Sanganer Airport. There are two bus station of Rajasthan Public transportation where you can get buses for every major parts of State. Ajmer is the closest city which is around 25km away and Jaipur is around 140km away from the town.
